After our engagement with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in October 2022 and May 2023, we are delighted to share the final publication “Exploring foresight scenarios for the EU bioeconomy”.
Also thanks to the tailoring, organisation, and facilitation that ABIS provided for the Scenario Exploration System (SES), several stakeholders in various bioeconomy sectors had the opportunity to participate in the foresight workshops, with the aim of imagining and exploring different futures of bioeconomy.
During the serious gaming, policy makers, primary producers, consumers, and businesses were involved in a scientific role-playing exercise to develop forward-looking and strategic thinking about the topic.
The outcomes of the SES and the findings of the report contributed to the drafting of policy recommendations and will be further applied to foster the EU debate on bioeconomy and shape its strategy.
