We engage institutions by using long-term systemic thinking and management models designed to make continuous improvements, strategy development and stimulating innovation.
ABIS Sustainability Assessment
The ABIS Sustainability Assessment is a management model designed to integrate sustainability in higher education institutions (HEIs). Its purpose is to report to decision makers of these institutions:
- The actual status of sustainability implementation at institutional and academic level
- How to effectively enable sustainability initiatives
- The impact of sustainability actions on the institution's stakeholders
- Suggestions for priorities in developing sustainability strategies
Scenario Exploration System
The Scenario Exploration System is a serious gaming tool developed to facilitate the application of foresight in practice and designed to help participants, in less than 3 hours, to engage in systemic thinking with a long-term perspective and to explore alternative futures on specific issues.
We use the tool to support our members and clients to enhance their preparedness and strategic decision-making towards possible future developments.

Scenario Building and Exploration
Building on our experience with the Scenario Exploration System foresight tool, in 2022 we initiated the "Futures of Business Education" initiative. Through a series of scenario building exercises, we aim to develop a foresight model to facilitate change in business schools in the ABIS network and beyond. This will help to identify risks and opportunities, inform strategy development and stimulate innovation and take actions in the present towards a desired future.
Following a research-based, proven foresight methodology, we are also able to support our members and clients to build scenarios on different sustainability-related topics. We provide with consultation and organization of the scenario building process, inviting different stakeholders and facilitating the discussions to define alternative scenarios and their storylines.
As part of our Professional Development activities, we also use the SES to help pour members and clients to formulate and reflect on forward-looking decisions and their impacts while interacting with different societal stakeholders and exploring alternative future scenarios.
Participants are able to explore different future realities through engaging in a simulation or role-play in order to better anticipate possible future developments and make informed decisions and strategies in the present to shape the future.
