ABIS is proud to announce its Horizon Europe Funding Webinar Series which aims to introduce the next research and innovation framework programme Horizon Europe starting in January 2021 focusing on its specifics and practicalities and support our network in the efforts  and questions regarding obtaining European funding.

Working together with stakeholders from the European Commission and proven funding application experts, we will bring all these to you with a webinar series commencing this winter and stretching to the following year.

The event aims to discuss the specifications of the new programme Horizon Europe, its differences from Horizon 2020 and the fundamentals of submitting a winning proposal. Eventually, the event´s goal is to facilitate the network´s efforts in obtaining European funding in research and education for a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive economy.

Each webinar will comprise of

  1. a key stakeholder working in a European Institution, or one with extensive experience in funding applications.
  2. A technical session comprising of a representative from the ABIS team who will guide you through topics such as Project Management, Feasibility Studies, Market Research etc.

Upcoming sessions:

  • 14.04.2021 14.00 CET: Impact and dissemination

Speaker: Andrea Di Anselmo, Vice President and Founding Member, META Group

This webinar will focus on the strategic orientation of Horizon Europe on the expected impacts of projects and how to approach this section when writing your project proposals. We will discuss the insights and useful tools for maximising the impact of the outcomes beyond the state of the art through well planned dissemination. 

  • 21.04.2021 14.00 CET: Exploitation

Speaker : Lorenzo Barabani, Consultant, META Group

Our next webinar will look at maximizing the projects impact through appropriate measures to make use of the results during and after the project’s implementation (a contractual obligation under Horizon Europe). We will discuss tips and tools how to best realise value from your research results.

  • 30.11.2020, 13:30 CET Introduction to Horizon Europe

Speaker: Julien Guerrier, the Director of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation's Policy and Programming Centre

Mr Guerrier explained the main features of Horizon Europe and the structural changes to the programme in comparison to Horizon 2020. We also discussed  how will the proposal development be affected by these new changes.

  • 7.12.2020, 14.00 CET Fundamentals of a successful project proposal

Speaker: Anita Tregner-Mlinaric, Vice Chair of the MSCA Advisory Board at the European Commission, Senior EU Affairs Expert and Programme Manager, META Group

Anita will focused on the elements that make a project proposal successful. We discussed the importance of building a strong consortium, structuring and phrasing, project management and much more. 

Each participant will receive exclusive access to:

  • Networking opportunities with other academics and funding experts 

Eventually, the Horizon Europe Funding Webinar Series will continue in the early 2021 digging deep into the specifications of our members 'needs. We will be collecting the desired topics and challenges in the efforts of obtaining a European funding, that will be chosen as the next webinars´ main themes.
