Professor Baback Yazdani appointed as the new Chair of the ABIS Board of Directors

We are pleased to announce that Baback Yazdani has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board of Directors for three year term 2019 - 2022. 

Baback is a Professor of Product Development and the Dean of Nottingham Business School (NBS), UK’s recognized leading business school by ranking and accreditations since 2007. NBS is also amongst the 1% of business schools globally that are accredited by AACSB and EQUIS, world’s gold standard mark of quality for business schools. NBS is also one of only 3 UK business schools that is PRME Champion is held up as an exemplar by United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME).

Baback has invested in acquisition and the development of world-class faculty; developed NBS' research to international standards; deepened NBS links to business; developed the revolutionary programme of experiential learning and personalisation that has received international recognition and acclaim.

He plays an active role in both academia and industry bodies. Baback is a Board Member of European Foundation for Management Development's (EFMD), Council Member and Treasurer of the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS), and Member of Board of Trustees and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

He had extensive senior leadership roles in industry and international business (US and Europe), including Director of Product Development at Jaguar Land Rover, and Director of Business and Operations at Premier Automotive Group: JLR, Volvo, Aston Martin and Lincoln Mercury. 

Baback will play a key role in guiding ABIS to the next stage of its development and serving its members with meaningful partnerships and collaborations.
