EU Research Proposal submitted by ABIS and University of Manchester

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

ABIS – The Academy of Business in Society participated, upon invitation, in an European Union  – funded research proposal led by the University of Manchester and co-ordinated by Professor Jakob Edler of the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research.

The proposal "Towards a Responsible Research and Innovation System" (ToRRIS) responded to a call from the European Commission under the Horizon2020 framework: developing governance for the advancement of Responsible Research and Innovation. This call aims to address systemic barriers to the implementation of responsible research, and innovation in research and innovation practices.

Should the proposal be accepted, ABIS would be responsible for the Communication, Dissemination and Engagement dimensions of the ToRRIS projectand supporting the 12 members of the research consortium. The ToRRIS proposal was submitted on the 2 October 2014.

ABIS secretariat would like to thank all members of the consortium and specifically, the team of the University of Manchester for the impressive team effort.
