ABIS' contribution to the Junior Enterprises Europe (JE Europe) Winter Conference

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Second year in a row we took an active part at the Junior Enterprises Europe (JE Europe) Winter Conference, a flagship annual event for around 400 junior entrepreneurs and young leaders of tomorrow taking place in Brussels.

The main theme of the event was "Change Beyond Limits" which was addressed by our CEO Ivo Matser at the opening ceremony on 27th of February. He talked about the need for paradigm shift for future businesses that can only be achieved through learning and exploring.

On the 28th of February, we hosted a SDG Exploration Game Workshop for 42 junior entrepreneurs, where they engaged in foresight scenarios in achieving a more sustainable future that ultimately helped them to understand that stakeholders operate in a broader interconnected system where each actor in society can design actions to contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The SDG Exploration Game Workshop with the focus on the UN SDGs, based on the Scenario Exploration System designed by the European Commission, was launched this month in February and the junior entrepreneurs where among the first 100 to get to play and learn from this experience.

ABIS' took an active role in judging and awarding the Best Sustainable Junior Enterprise and had the honor to hand over a trophy at the Closing Ceremony on the 29th of FebruaryWe were honored to reward LisbonPH as the Most Sustainable Junior Enterprise. LisbonPH is full of young leaders with disruptive ideas and sustainable mindsets that are making a positive impact and inspiring others to do the same. LisbonPH is a perfect example of a junior enterprise that is ensuring diversity, equality, sustainability and making a positive impact while growing their business.
