Thursday, May 16, 2019
Online

Join us for another webinar of our Webinar series 2019, continuation of our talks from Colloquium 2018.

We would like to invite all of our mumbers to join us on 16th May at 12 pm CEST for a Webinar on the Role of Circular Economy in rethinking plastics.

Our speakers are Gavin Warner, Director Sustainable Business at Unilever, Peter Hopkinson, Director of the University of Exeter Centre for Circular Economy and Fiona Charnley, Associate Professor of Circular Economy at University of Exeter who will share their challenges, innovations and solutions on the topic.

Detailed description:

“Cheap and multipurpose plastic has become the ever-present material of today’s fast-moving economy. But the linear ‘take-make-waste’ model of consumption means that products get manufactured, bought, used once or twice and then thrown away – which is causing extreme pollution by plastics in cities, oceans and waterways that contributes to harming humans, animals and environment. We must transform all the elements of the take-make-waste system: how we manage resources, how we make and use products, and what we do with the materials afterwards. Circular economy offers us the opportunity to do exactly that. Our speakers will be discussing about the main challenges and innovative solutions on how to approach this issue and create a thriving economy that can benefit everyone within the boundaries of our planet.”

Register now.
