Scenario Exploration System Workshop (SES) University of Kent
We are happy to be part of the MsC Management Brussels Study Tour 2019 that is bringing students of Brussels School of International Studies, University of Kent a Scenario Exploration System (SES) Workshop. We are bringing students of the Global Business Analysis course the possibility to take on different roles in society in 5, 15 and 30 years time frame.
The game session is led by Joseph Amankwah-Amoah, Reader in International Business at University Kent with Laurent Bountoux, Foresight Specialist at Joint Research Centre, European Commission and Marco Matrisciano, Manager Research Programme at ABIS.
The Scenario Exploration System (SES) is a serious gaming platform developed to facilitate the application of foresight to policy-making. It was originally geared at engaging EU policy makers with foresight scenarios in a quick process. Specifically, the SES was designed to help participants, in less than 3 hours, to engage in systemic thinking with a long-term perspective and to explore alternative futures for specificissues. The game enables participants to acquire a solid understanding of sustainable development through an interactive process
ABIS offers to all our members the opportunity to co-design a workshop session and to use the Scenario Exploration System as part of teaching modules, training activities and relevant events.
If anyone would be interested in seeing how the workshop looks like, we happily invite you on 12.02. in Brussels.
