Scenario Exploration System Workshop (SES) Cranfield University
The Scenario Exploration System (SES) is a serious gaming platform developed to facilitate the application of foresight to policy-making. It was originally geared at engaging EU policy makers with foresight scenarios in a quick process. Specifically, the SES was designed to help participants, in less than 3 hours, to engage in systemic thinking with a long-term perspective and to explore alternative futures for specificissues. The game enables participants to acquire a solid understanding of sustainable development through an interactive process based on the integration of sustainability into the long-term strategies of different societal actors.
ABIS is co-creating a second SES workshop at Cranfield University this Wednesday, 9.1.2019 at the facility of Cranfield School of Management for more than 100 business students. ABIS will be present as a support of the whole organization of the workshop as well as communication activities (photography, video, social media, collection of feedback and introduction of an interactive tool for questions and polls).
The game session is led by Rosina Watson, Senior Lecturer in Sustainability at Cranfield School of Management. We would like to thank her for her interest in the game workshop and for managing the whole organization of the workshop.
ABIS offers to all our members the opportunity to co-design a workshop session and to use the Scenario Exploration System as part of teaching modules, training activities and relevant events.
