EU – Africa Chamber of Commerce Awards

Under the framework of the ABIS initiative in Africa on Managing the Responsible Business Challenge, ABIS announces the collaboration with the EU – Africa Chamber of Commerce on the CSR in Africa Awards.

The EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce (EUACC) and ABIS truly believe that corporate responsibility is a key goal to ensure inclusiveness and sustainability in Sub-Saharan Africa’s development. It is not just the scale of economic activity that determines development. One needs to account for business practice that impacts people, the economy and the environment.

These Awards aim to:

• Give a higher visibility to company sustainable best practices in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA)
• Raise awareness
• Encourage shared-value approaches.

The initiative will allow ABIS to learn about African Business’ approaches to sustainability and good governance.
