We are happy to announce that our annual Knowledge Into Action Forum 2019 will be hosted by Unilever on 22nd of May.
The 2019 Knowledge Into Action Forum (KIAF) will bring together the ABIS network and relevant stakeholders to discuss and collaborate on how to drive innovation by putting sustainability at the core of business and research practices.The event will open and tackle discussion on how to finance, support and partner to develop relevant research and innovation with real-world impact. It will also offer a platform to present innovative ideas, co-create initiatives, and generate new partnerships as well as research & innovation projects.The event objective is to boost project development capitalizing on the expertise within the ABIS community and to create measurable outputs and relevant impact for society.
You can expect a place for big conversations, building capabilities, sharing ideas and growing your network. Being at the heart of Unilever, you will enjoy an experience you will never forget.
Engagement
The program of the day is divided into learning and working part, where companies and institutions will have the possibility to actively engage in giving a pitch on a relavant idea, challenge or dilemma of their choice during the Innovation Forum. The topics from the creative pitches will be later discussed in breakout sessions and each participant will have the freedom to choose any of the session.

Audience
ABIS encourages participation of students, young researchers, practioners and innovators as well as business and academic experts committed to integrating sustainability at all levels of the business value chain and academic research.
To ensure quality of interactions, variety of experts and high value of contributions and ideas during our working afternoon at KIAF, we give out the possibility for our academic members to bring FREE one of their corporate partner (1+1 ticket). We can assure active involvment in pitching session and breakout rooms and the possibility of developing new partnerships in sustainable models. How to prepare for KIAF
Before entering the Unilever's Four Acres Centre we would like to ask you to come prepared for the Innovation Forum working sessions. Read through this document to be ready on what to expect during the day.
Whova app
We decided to take our event into the next level, to implement a more sustainable and environmental friendly way of organizing events.
We're excited to announce that Knowledge into Action Forum (KIAF) 2019 has a free, official app which you can Download and be able to:
- View the event agenda and plan your schedule
- Find someone to share a cab to go to the conference/event together
- View the attendees and be able to contact them directly
- Receive updates such as last minute room change from the organizers
- Get presentation documents and slides
After downloading, use this the email address that you registered with when signing up in the app and choose a strong password. Once you're signed up, you should be taken directly to your event!
