Venue Management Centre Europe, Brussels, Belgium
Focus Connecting our Network to identify exciting Project Opportunities

About

On 19 May 2016 ABIS hosted its Annual General Assembly and 2nd Knowledge Into Action Forum in Brussels, Belgium.

The General Assembly served as the network’s most important strategy meeting, in which the Board and management presented headlines and achievements from the previous year and outline the priorities, milestones and engagement opportunities for the upcoming months.

The Knowledge Into Action Forum, which followed immediately afterwards, offered a completely different dynamic. The energy and ideas of individual Members underpinned its programme, which included the following three blocks:

  1. Insight Sessions – a corporate focused marketplace where small group or one-to-one meetings enabled corporate members to source new academic insights and thinking around emerging strategic challenges and issues;
  2. Resource Opportunities – a helicopter view on a wide range of funding schemes and key success criteria to support business-academic collaboration;
  3. Engagement Workshops – a series of in-depth roundtable presentations of concrete initiatives in development, through which their champions can find supporting partners, “reality check” objectives and materiality, and build awareness of their project within the network.
